The higher education sectors in Iraq and Jordan are currently grappling with significant challenges that necessitate transformative changes.
A primary factor contributing to this situation is the economic difficulties faced by both countries. Iraq struggles with pervasive corruption and inadequate infrastructure, while Jordan contends with limited natural resources, a small industrial base, and a tourism sector impacted by the Syrian conflict and the ongoing repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic (DAAD Bildungssystemanalyse, 2021). Entrepreneurship Course
An event based on the EntreComp Framework and HEInnovate Self-Assessment was conducted in Jordan and Iraq to address challenges in entrepreneurship education, balancing business knowledge with fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, while also considering gender differences in entrepreneurial intentions and promoting regional networking and best-practice exchange.

Entrepreneurial Coaching – Focus Groups
In a three-day workshop, stakeholders from various fields, including students, teachers, trainers, researchers, and university management, discussed and developed a joint working definition of entrepreneurial coaching, resulting in a report that outlined the necessary competencies for entrepreneurship coaches, aimed at standardizing training and addressing global challenges in the field.

Entrepreneurship Coaching Train-the-Trainer
A 5-day “train the trainer” workshop at Saarland University equipped entrepreneurship coaches from the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani, and Hashemite University with essential skills, combining practical entrepreneurial knowledge and soft skills development, while fostering an interactive, experience-based learning environment.
